Job Description:


The Associate Dean for Emergency Medical Services is responsible for all aspects of the EMT and Paramedic programs including curriculum development, planning, administration, continuous review and maintenance of program accreditation, and assessment of the general effectiveness of the programs. Additionally, the Associate Dean for EMS serves as the liaison with health care facilities, provides systematic review of program effectiveness among didactic, laboratory, and clinical components and works effectively and collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community partners.

  • Attend professional conferences and training as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to clinical and field sites.
  • Be available to work on all campuses.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field
  • Certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP)
  • Minimum of ten years' experience as a licensed Paramedic that includes a minimum of five years of field experience in emergency care.
  • Must have experience with, and working knowledge of the EMS system

Certifications in:
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS (Provider/Instructor)
  • Current Paramedic Certification/Licensure
  • Massachusetts (or Equivalent) Emergency Medical Technician Instructor/Coordinator

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in related field
  • Prior administrative and supervisory experience



Additional Information:


Position Status: Non-Unit Professional, full time, state funded with benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. with a hybrid schedule option

Salary: $90,626 - $117,814 annually based upon education and experience

Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary.
