Responsibilities*

Review and acknowledge diet orders and messages in MiChart List every 5 to 10 minutes.
Contact appropriate personnel as needed.
Alert Patient Care Diet Tech for any questions patients ask about their diet and/or menu that cannot be answered by Call Center Clerks.
Answer phone calls from patients, guests, and mothers, take meal selections, enter selections into CBORD, print tray tickets. Follow scripts outlined for various situations.
Create guest and mother profiles in CBORD Card File.
Check Outlook email throughout your shift.
Receive orders for Bereavement Trays from Nursing staff. Print tray ticket from CBORD
Update and check White Board for food outages, specials, and other pertinent information.
Track all Outpatients on Tracking Form for Outpatient Meal Requests. Use appropriate abbreviation codes and enter Service Notes for delivery locations.
Handle phone calls from Nursing as well as other staff members on the units. Follow up appropriately with taking messages and contacting appropriate staff members.

Required Qualifications*
High School Diploma.

Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn new computer applications. Proficient in utilization of email systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to exhibit a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, departmental staff members and allied health professionals. Able to function as a team member with flexibility in a changing and challenging work environment.

Able to lift 15 pounds and walk a considerable distance.

Desired Qualifications*
Associate degree, or post high school education at an accredited university or college.

Work or volunteer experience related to healthcare and/or dietetics.

Demonstration of customer service and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with MiChart and CBORD software.
