Head Womens Tennis Coach

UIW Mission

Position Summary
The Head Women's Tennis Coach is responsible for all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division I women's tennis program including, but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, fundraising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling and hiring staff. The Head Women's Tennis Coach works cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.

This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and The UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Job Duties

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.

Must be a team player and have the ability to support and assist other employees.

Ability to coach a successful tennis team at the collegiate level.

Successfully recruit college-level academically and athletically prepared student-athletes.

Ability to manage the myriad of on-going responsibilities within a competitive college tennis program, including effectively managing budget, travel, staffing, and parent communications.

Knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA academic and compliance regulations.

Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, former student-athletes, faculty, alumni, staff, and San Antonio tennis community.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, conference and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelors Degree.

Required Work Experience
Previous experience coaching womens tennis.
