Contributes to the university's mission through teaching and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
Teaches face-to-face and/or online undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Teacher Education Department of the College of Education.

Required Qualifications
Successful applicants for this position will have these qualifications and qualities:

Record of 3 years of successful teaching as the teacher of record in public schools
Current or recent state teaching certifications. (Texas preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to these requirements, the following qualifications are also desirable:

Experience teaching and/or working in a higher education institution
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively
Use of strong and positive communication skills within a professional setting, exhibit disposition for technology use, collaboration, and school-based initiatives
Administrative experience at the campus, district, or IHE level, and a commitment to earning a terminal degree at Texas Tech (if not already earned)
