Position Description
Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence.

Major/Essential Functions

Communicate with Texas Tech employees to assist with training requirements, registration, online course issues and maintenance of accurate training records; Update Talent Management monthly report with training numbers
Prepare training aids such as instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, visual aids, certificates; Ensure venues are set up for training
Serve as the primary contact for HR Talent Development mailboxes; Provide timely responses
Schedule training sessions ensuring venues are reserved for set-up and events; Send employee notifications; Ensure catering and parking accommodations are completed according to departmental standards
Market events and award programs
Maintain outreach with vendors and employee service coordinators
Reconcile p-card expenditures monthly
Assist with Length of Service and Distinguished Staff Awards as needed
Maintain inventory of training supplies; Order as needed

Required Qualifications
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
At least two (2) years of experience managing daily operations of a department organization.
