Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Architecture for the academic year 2023 - 2024. These positions are filled on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

The Department of Architecture at Kennesaw State University seeks applicants for part-time faculty to teach specialized courses in our undergraduate, B.Arch degree program.

Areas of specialization include:

Architecture Studio
Structures
Design Communications & Documentation
Architecture History & Theory
Environmental Systems & Building Performance
Professional Practice
Course documentation for accreditation purposes

Teaching formats depend on the course assigned and include lectures, lectures with labs, and architecture studios.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Masters degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Architecture or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of professional practice experience or more, and some teaching experience. Other qualifications might include:

Licenses, certifications, or professional memberships
Specific experience or skills within one or more of the following areas of specialization:
Architecture Studio
Structures
Design Communications & Documentation
Architecture History & Theory
Environmental Systems & Building Performance
Professional Practice
