Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions
Texas Tech University School of Theatre and Dance seeks a full-time (12 month) position to serve as Costume Shop Supervisor for the Department of Theatre and Dance. The position oversees construction of new and alteration of existing costumes for the stage; supervises costume shop staff including part-time and student personnel and graduate assistants; manages workflow and staff time, including paperwork for payroll and costume budget accounting and purchasing; uses sketches provided by costume designers to create costumes, including pattern and garment fabrication; oversees fabrication of crafts, millinery projects, and operations of backstage staff.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
BFA in costume technology considered, MFA in costume design/technology preferred; minimum of two years experience in an academic or professional production environment. Must be familiar with the pressures and deadlines of a 10-to-12 production-per-calendar-year schedule.
