Job Summary

The Office of Information Technology encourages applications for a ServiceNow Developer/Admin! This position exists primarily to complete custom development and configuration on the ServiceNow platform. This role will also perform limited operational support for the ServiceNow service, as well as providing advanced support for users of the service. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Custom Development, Configuration, and Testing:
  • Develop customizations in ServiceNow to meet project objectives and business needs. This may include developing API integrations between ServiceNow and other services. Customizations may be done through configuration changes, or by development of custom scripts using JavaScript and other programming languages.
Service Operations and Escalated Support:
  • This position assists in managing our ServiceNow service, including but not limited to core configuration, user administration, core application administration, service administration and upgrades. As part of this, this position will be responsible for implementing and vetting changes in pre-production environments (sandbox, dev, test) before implementing the changes in production, and will be responsible for propagating changes between environments using update sets and other appropriate methodology. This position will also assist in providing escalated support for our ServiceNow service, including assisting users with issues, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and escalating issues to ServiceNow (the vendor) as necessary.
Professional Development:
  • Keep current on software development languages and methodologies, APIs and frameworks in use by OIT and the campus and participate in process and organizational improvement activities.

  • This position has the ability to work from home from anywhere in the U.S. The position may be expected to come to campus in Boulder, CO for a required in-person event or other unforeseen circumstance on rare occasions.

What We Require

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in information systems, computer science, engineering or other related field.
  • 1 year of experience as a software developer/engineer or closely related field which must include:
    • One year in web development including HTML, CSS, XML, JSON; Development in ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM platform using AJAX, API development, and Jelly Script; and
    • One year of experience developing web applications using RESTful APIs services and relational databases such as MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server; and Integration with LDAP and Active Directory.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
