Working Title Snack Bar Lead

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a team-oriented individual to join our Dining Services team as a Snack Bar Lead. This position is responsible for a small, independent food service operation with little supervision. The position includes food production, ordering, customer service, daily receipts and sanitation for a remote food service area such as a bistro, concession stand, deli, catering, or a production station. This is a 10-month position with the possibility of picking up shifts during the cyclic time off.

Conditions of Employment

This position requires a valid food handler's permit and a driver's license. This position requires the ability to work evenings and weekends
The successful candidate must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university fund or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 18. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check.
This is an agency shop position

Required Qualifications:

  • Food Handler's Permit

  • One year of experience in high volume or institutional food preparation and serving.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience delivering excellent customer service

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality.

  • 12 months of college or university cooking experience.

  • 12 months of high volume food production experience serving over 400 meals per day.
