JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Enrollment Management, the Sr. Director of Graduate Admission is a key member of the Enrollment Management Leadership team and plays a critical role in the planning and execution of enrollment initiatives for the University's 30+ graduate programs. The Sr. Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the recruitment and admission process.

In collaboration with the VP and key University partners, the Sr. Director will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the execution of a comprehensive, multi-year enrollment plan with a focus on maximizing enrollment and net tuition revenue across our portfolio, in support of institutional goals.

The Sr. Director will oversee the Graduate Admission team, manage staff and inspire a climate of collaboration, achievement and professionalism. S/he will embrace innovation, value diversity and possess strong communication and relationship building skills.

Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement strategic enrollment plan for graduate enrollment management in alignment with institutional goals and objectives;
  • Ensure consistency in planning and processes across all programs; provide guidance in the development and launch of new programs;
  • Co-lead the process for forecasting, assessing and reporting on enrollment goals, working closely with the Admission Directors, Deans, Program Directors and Finance.


Team Management and Resource Allocation
  • Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to the Graduate Admission office to successfully develop and execute annual recruitment and enrollment plans in support of institutional goals;
  • Routinely assess admission functions to ensure strategic deployment of human and financial resources (including operational budget oversight and the strategic use of financial aid) to maximize impact and meet enrollment goals across all levels and modalities;
  • Foster a collaborate and inclusive environment, encourage professional development and teamwork.


Admissions Strategy/Process
  • Support the creation and implementation of admission strategies and oversee the admission process for graduate programs, ensuring efficiency, transparency and adherence to policies;
  • Collaborate with staff and faculty on admission process, including application review process and communication plans.


Recruitment and Outreach Partnerships
  • Assess/establish partnerships with external organizations in alignment with enrollment/recruitment plans;
  • Serve as the primary point person to internal and external partners in support of domestic and international recruitment. Work in close collaboration with key offices including Financial Aid, Advancement, Career Services, Student Accounts, Registrar, Institutional Research;
  • Leverage key channels across all graduate programs and modalities, attend recruitment events as needed.


Collaboration
  • Provide oversight and leadership for the Graduate Enrollment Management Councils;
  • Collaborate with faculty, program leadership and other key stakeholders on recruitment efforts, including the development of partnerships with external organizations, professional associations, community colleges, etc. to facilitate student pipeline development and expand our reach.


Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Reporting and Operations to provide analysis of and insights into enrollment activity, data and outcomes including lead source and funnel analysis, assess effectiveness of strategies and tactics; report out on enrollment activities and outcomes in accordance with enrollment plans;
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data related to enrollment trends, demographics and conversion rates.


Enrollment Marketing
  • Work with University Marketing and Communication team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns that highlight the Universities value proposition and unique portfolio of programs;
  • Ensure oversight of external enrollment partners to ensure consistency in messaging and a comprehensive approach.


Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Collaborate with Admission Directors and Financial Aid to develop and administer financial aid/scholarship programs with an eye on maximizing net tuition revenue;
  • Stay informed on matters related to federal and state financial aid regulations;
  • Recommend and implement approved strategies to enhance affordability and accessibility, in support of institutional goals.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is required;
  • 7 years of experience in enrollment management, graduate admission, or related field in a higher education setting;
  • Knowledge of enrollment trends, market dynamics and best practices in recruitment and admissions;
  • Experience developing/implementing/overseeing marketing and recruitment strategies and proficiency utilizing technology and enrollment management systems. Experience with Workday and Slate, a plus;
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and compliance requirements related to admission and financial aid.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and measure institutional effectiveness and key performance indicators;
  • Undergraduate and Graduate admissions experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Full-time (40-hours/week) position;
  • Eligible for a hybrid in-office/remote work schedule;
  • Typical office setting;
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer;
  • Frequent fine manipulation required to operate a computer keyboard, grasp papers, write and take notes, and operate office machinery;
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 15 pounds;
  • Travel is required as needed
